A Call to Serve

Young adults across America are navigating the challenges of a rapidly changing culture, often struggling to find their way. Pause, Sip & Ponder exists to empower them to grow into healthy, fulfilled, and contributing individuals.

We provide safe spaces for authentic conversations and help connect young adults with essential resources, including mental health care, mindful creative gatherings, volunteer opportunities, and guided journal sessions. Through in-person events, podcasts, and social media, Bridge Leader Pauline Turla fosters meaningful connections and cultivates a community of growth and support.

“I was inspired to create a platform for others to share their stories, believing vulnerability is a true strength and often the first step toward a world filled with empathy, love, and intentional living,” shares Pauline Vargas (Founder). “I’m fascinated by the ‘in-between’ moments of someone’s journey—the small but powerful steps that change lives. What a joy it is to see someone move from a place of depression to applying for jobs, landing one, and watching their life transform.”

At Pause, Sip & Ponder, young adults are also discovering the richness of building relationships—with God, mentors, friends, and their broader community—equipping them to walk forward with greater hope and purpose.

I was inspired to create a platform for others to share their story, as I strongly believe that vulnerability is a great strength and can be the next step toward a world of more empathy, love, and intentional living. I’m so fascinated by the “in-between” moments of one’s journey.

Thank you for creating a safe space for everyone. I truly enjoyed the painting and not having to worry about what others think. I just did.
— Ponderer
Pause Sip and Ponder has been a great learning tool for me during this journey to better myself. The topics she shared and talked about are super inspiring. I’ve got to know so many people through the PS&P community, those who went through the same journey as me, it made me realize I’m not fighting this battle alone.

Through her years of serving her local church and connecting with diverse communities, Pauline Turla (Founder of PS&P) noticed many young adults struggling to balance personal life, work, school, family expectations, and spiritual growth. Many shared feelings of burnout, discouragement, or inadequacy while pursuing their goals. Through Pause, Sip & Ponder, Pauline seeks not just to provide solutions, but to spark the desire for growth—believing that true potential shines through the process. Together with Co-Host Marierose, she shares practices and programs that encourage accountability, intentional living, and purpose in a world of overwhelming expectations.

Meet the hosts

  • Founder and Host

Hi there, I’m Pauline, aka “Pauline Ponders”A podcast host, writer, mental health advocate, and artist, and am currently studying Early Childhood Education.

Growing up I found that some of the most meaningful moments I’ve had were the conversations I would have with friends and even strangers, and many of them were at my local coffee shop and was inspired to create a space for them to share their story, bringing inspiration and hope to others, just as it has brought me encouragement,

In January 2019, the Pause, Sip & Ponder podcast came to form and since then, has grown into a community of ponderers, artists, and compassionate individuals who strive to grow, and cultivate healthy conversations within their own spaces and who aim to live intentional lives. I strongly believe that vulnerability is strength and can be the next step toward a world of more empathy, peace, and love.

  • Hi Everyone! My name is a Marierose.

My creative endeavors deal in video-editing to aspire to advocate for those for their story being told with the trust of my creative skills. Having experience since 14 years old, the mix of creativity and editing has become second nature. I have advocated for local businesses within the DMV showing them their business the best way possible.

Thank you for sticking around PS&P and continue to ponder!
